I had never before worn compression socks. These were long enough to go up and over my calves. I was worried that I'd have discomfort during the day but never did. I wore them a total of six days and they were comfortable.
I let them air dry after washing as I was afraid even if they shrunk just a tiny bit they'd be that much
harder to get over my heel.
The small red-white-and-blue American flag stitched into the socks made me smile when I first saw them.
I found them a little hard to put on even though I had the correct size. I asked their PR person, Grace, to send a larger size to compare. She said she would but the larger size never arrived.
Grace
really pushed me hard to join their affiliate program so I'd get a commission on socks you buy. I declined her offer.
Crypto Mining Fan Noise
Can you imagine spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on land to build or buy your dream home and then after you move in the lot next door makes your investment
WORTHLESS?
It's happening to people all over the USA. Crypto mining is the problem. Miners create centers where hundreds of computers are used to mine cryptocurrency.
When you consume electricity in a computer that has no moving parts, the laws of thermodynamics dictate heat be created as a byproduct of the electricity consumption. It's not much different than the heat produced by an
old-fashioned tungsten-filament light bulb.
The computers need to be cooled with air to get rid of the heat.
If you have thousands of computers, you need huge fans. These create noise - lots of noise.
Read about these poor folks who lost lots of money.
BEFORE YOU PURCHASE YOUR DREAM HOME OR LOT, DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE ABOUT NOISE ORDINANCES.
Don't discover after the fact that you have zero recourse against a crypto miner that devalues your quality of life and the quantity of your assets by creating noise
24/7/365.
Crap Blacktop Crack Filler
I've shared before I try to media scan YouTube for videos that will cause you heartache. No, I don't look for romantic videos!
I viewed this short video and in the first ten seconds I knew what he was using as a crack filler - polymeric sand.
This is just fine sand, probably silica sand, mixed with a pigment and a water-activated glue.
I used this exact sand on my concrete paver patio I installed several years ago. After three winters here in New Hampshire, the sand failed and disintegrated.
READ THIS COLUMN of mine to see a great way to fill blacktop cracks.
